Now in our 18th season

What a finish! It came down to the final game of the season, the tiebreaker game between the Twins and Tigers. Fernando Rodney gave up some runs and it looked like the Rats were going to take over first place, but then Rodney pitched 3 innings to give the Spartans another point in Innings Pitched. Closest finish in PSSL history. Congratulations to Dirk Adkisson for a great championship run, and Sean Reeves for scaring the heck out of him at the end.

The End of the Year party had a decent turnout and we handed out the prize money and discussed rule proposals on the ballot. We also had the loser lottery drawing, and after the first 3 teams drawn weren't in attendance, we finally drew the Conquest, and Frank took home the $25 prize. Next year the Applestackers and Lumberkings will have to add $25 each to the Loser Lottery drawing and the Applestackers will have to display the infamous doormat trophy at the draft.

Great year, check your e-mail for the ballot measures and get your protected roster ready. I'm sure 2010 will be YOUR year!

Anyone want to hear my pitching strategy....? :-)
